Restoring the Soul of Health Care

Relationship. Empathy. Dignity — in primary care, midwifery, doula support, and birth. We're a Foundation, laying the groundwork for whole-person care across Southwest Michigan. You can help us build it.

Our Mission

Bringing Healthcare Back to Its Roots.

For too long, care has been rushed, transactional, and impersonal — families treated as insurance codes instead of image-bearers of God. We're restoring what healthcare was always meant to be: relationship, empathy, and dignity — woven through every visit, every birth, every family we serve.

Primary Care Midwifery Doula Care Birth

We are a Foundation — and we mean it. We're laying the groundwork to return to the practice of healing, not the business of medicine — where families are known and cared for — not reduced to a billing code or rushed through a ten-minute visit. That's what makes this a ministry, not a marketplace.

The Need Is Real, and It's Here

These Are Not Statistics From Another City. They Are Our Neighbors.

Across Southwest Michigan, mothers and infants still face gaps in care that should be unacceptable to all of us — not because the medicine doesn't exist, but because rushed, transactional care leaves the most vulnerable families unseen. Together, we can change that.

Kalamazoo has become Michigan's success story. Just east, in Battle Creek, the need is greater.

And the gap runs deeper than geography: in Kalamazoo County, Black infants still die at 2.5× the rate of white infants (7.0 vs 2.8 per 1,000). Progress on the average hasn't closed the racial gap — and it persists across our region.

This is why we serve the whole region — rooted in Kalamazoo County, with our vision reaching toward Battle Creek, where the need is greatest.

Why It Matters

Imagine a Mother Who Has Never Been Truly Heard.

She's been a number on a chart, rushed through ten-minute visits, afraid the cost of care will mean going without something else her family needs.

Now imagine her walking into a place where she's given unhurried time, a provider who knows her name, a doula by her side — and care that never asks her to choose between her health and her grocery budget.

That mother is your neighbor. You can be the reason she's finally seen.

— The family Covenant Life is being built for
The Solution

Time Is the Medicine.

We replace the ten-minute rush with unhurried, whole-person care — an integrated team of primary care, midwives, and doulas working as one for every family, body, mind, and spirit.

Relationship, Not Transactions

Unhurried appointments, up to 45 minutes when you need it — time to listen, find root causes, and truly know the people we serve.

Empathy for the Whole Person

Body, mind, and spirit — physical health, mental wellness, food security, and prayer, if you'd like it.

Dignity for Every Family

Income-based rates and a Care Access Fund that grows with every membership — reaching toward the day cost is never the reason a family goes without.

10%

The Care Access Fund

Ten percent of every membership and service is automatically set aside for free and subsidized care — the more our community joins, the more families we can carry.

Our Aspiration

Today, income-based rates keep care within reach, and 10% of every membership feeds the Care Access Fund. Our goal is to grow it — with churches and neighbors beside us — until cost is never the reason a family goes without.

The Ask

We Cannot Do This by Prayer Alone.

We are a ministry built on faith — but faith needs hands, and a foundation must be built. To open this birth center and keep care within reach of every family, we need our community beside us. Three ways you can answer the call:

Give Money

Sponsor care that can't wait — one-time or monthly. Every gift grows the Care Access Fund.

Sponsor Time

Lend your hands and skills — from flooring and finishing to volunteering when our doors open.

Sponsor Products

Donate materials and supplies — flooring, furnishings, and the pieces that make our home whole.

Answer the Call

“Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” — James 2:17
