A Ministry, Not a Program.
Covenant Life Birth & Wellness Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in October 2025 to restore the roots of healthcare — relationship, empathy, and dignity — for the families of Southwest Michigan.
Kristin Richards-Capp's journey into midwifery began not in a classroom, but in her own experience as a mother. After two hospital births, she discovered the profound beauty of peaceful, relationship-centered birth — and it ignited a calling she could not ignore.
A dedicated student of her craft since 2004, Kristin has practiced as a Licensed Midwife (LM) and Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) for over a decade. In 2024, the vision became clear: not merely a birth center, but a movement — a collaborative bringing independent providers together under one roof to care for the whole family.

Rebuilding the Village.
In a fragmented world, we believe God-centered families, supported by their community, hold the key to healing.
Accessibility & Equality
Financial status should never dictate the quality of care. The Foundation bridges the gap between standard fees and what families can afford — so everyone receives the same standard of excellence.
A Sanctuary for Life
Rooted in a Christian worldview, we are a sanctuary where life is celebrated — offering pregnancy support, adoption resources, and prayerful care that honors every life.
Functional & Holistic Wellness
True wellness extends beyond the exam room — treating body, mind, and spirit through prenatal education, postpartum support, and community that combats isolation.
The Collaborative Community
We're not just a clinic; we're a movement — partnering with like-minded providers, churches, and community leaders to wrap families in tangible support.

Present in Our Community.
Long before our doors open, our team is out in Southwest Michigan — at community events, the Battle Creek Area Chamber, and wherever families gather.

Where We Are, Where We're Going.
Our heart began in Battle Creek, where infant mortality is highest and the need is greatest. When we couldn't yet secure a home there, we didn't let go of the mission — we planted our roots in Kalamazoo County, just thirty minutes away, to open the doors and begin.
From that first home, Covenant Life serves families across Southwest Michigan, and our birth center will welcome families from Battle Creek and beyond. But we haven't forgotten where we started: our vision reaches back toward Battle Creek, where we long to bring birth care to the community that needs it most.
That's the road ahead — and with churches and neighbors beside us, we'll walk it together.
A Mission, Not a Marketplace.
We are a Foundation — and we mean it. We're laying the groundwork to return to the practice of healing, not the business of medicine. Our ethos: “We do not serve our neighbors because they are Christian; we serve them because we are.”
Help Us Build It.
The doors don't open by prayer alone. Become a Founding Member, or support the mission with your time, gifts, and prayers.
